Rachel Comey

Rachel ComeyYear 2001: a label was launched and nine years down the line, its clothes are a huge rage among a lot of people. The name's Rachel Comey, and the label being talked about here is her eponymous brand. Interestingly, this was started as a brand that focused only on menswear. The brand only made clothes for men, despite the fact that the designer is a woman. Once the women started showing great interest in th clothes from this brand, and a lot of them started picking up clothes from Barney's, the designer took notice of this huge demand and started out a women's clothing range. Today, this brand mostly focuses on womens wear. This particular range was started in 2003. The designer has a background in art. The designer has a passion for sculpting and this explains the distinct, artistic quality in her designs. She has been able to surprise and overwhelm her fans and admirers with incredible display of colors and interesting patterns. This is what really makes her different. The range of her clothing would have an interesting mix of color, patterns and cuts and this has enticed many womens towards this brand. This brand has shifted its focus, almost completely from the menswear to womens wear now. But the designer is for the unconventional designs of her shoes. She has a collection of unisex shoes that can be worn by both men and women. This has become one o the USPs of this label.

Rachel ComeyThis designer label perhaps shot to fame and to new levels of popularity and recognition after one of the shirts of her collection was worn by David Bowie on Letterman and the designer's work also featured in the 2002 Whitney Biennial. She has also come up with some gorgeous skirts and trousers. This label has been really to come up with versatile designs time and again. Apart from these designs, she has also created a range of denims. In fact, her high-waisted bright blue jeans with a white camellia print were incredibly popular. If you are a woman and extremely finicky about fashion, you should have Rachel Comey in your wardrobe-It is indeed a must!
